Thank You Jesus for being my Friend
I've
got a story that I must tell, but I don't tell stories very well - So I wrote
you a song to tell you how I feel - it's from my heart, it's all so real.
I
once lived a life in search of a throne. I looked for a purpose and peace of my
own. I was just busy just being my me - my worldly
goals would set me free.
I
was just a creature of chance just a bumpin'
along. My God was so right and I was so wrong. My guilt was so big, my fear was
so strong.
Oh
Thank You Lord for delivering me. Like a baby new born you set me free. You
gave me new life. You gave me Yourself. You took
me in spite of my sin-love self.
Lord
I want to Thank You for bein'
my Friend. You washed away my every sin. You made me white, as white as snow. When
I was half, You made me whole.
Oh
Thank You Lord for proving to me - You always love me
unconditionally. You exchanged Your Throne to make this known - Your Glory made
low for my selfish soul.
Thank
You God, I now understand - the Price You paid for
becoming a man. You willingly died on a cross of wood, yet made the hill on
which it stood.
Oh
Thank You again my Victorious Friend - You made my heart all over again. I'm
more than saved and I'm more than safe - I'm now in the center of a powerful
place.
Oh
Thank You Lord for our intimacy - our fellowship now motivates me. In sin I'm
out of character now - my nature is new - to Jesus I bow.
So Thank
You Jesus I sing to Thee. I love You and
You love me. Salvation Truth is mine today. You truely
are the Only Way.
And
thank you my friend for just a listenin' in.
May your songs too share His Glory in you.
And so I sing my story end. Thank You Jesus for being my Friend.
